Palouse of Australia

Palouse Of Australia Incorporated was formed in December 2012 by a group of long time standing members of the Palouse breed in Australia.

 

Palouse Of Australia is a different format from the spotted pony society & the palouse pony association as our Palouse can be bred from the original Appaloosa and our height from as small as our miniatures and up to not exceeding 14.2hh, we are looking at going back to basics where these wonderful Appaloosa coloured & bred Palouse started in Australia.

 

We want to encourage members from as young as 2yrs of age up to as old as you feel to be able to stay with the one versatile Breed. Including Halter, all types of performance, (English & western) sporting, pony club mounts, trail riding horses, Harness & Endurance or just the love of a horse.

 

We are happy to promote from our tiny miniatures to our taller riding Palouse to cover all ages and all disciplines.

Our aim is to breed and promote the versatile Palouse Of Australia from the start of life as we know it with our wonderful equines to our old age of still being in love and owning these wonderful equines.

 

We are driving to regain the riding size Palouse with our height of being 14.2hh in size & under. We feel being a little larger than a pony this encourages adults and our youth to still compete and own these Wonderful Equines.

 

Our children can start with a miniature size and our elderly can finish with a miniature size.

 

The General Palouse should show Style and Substance, being elegant while still being well muscled and proportioned of a strong well balanced equine.
